The B&K 2238 Mediator is the modern interpretation of the classic sound level meter, providing, high precision measurements. The application software turns the instrument into a dedicated solution for environmental, occupational and industrial applications - all in one instrument. The hardware includes two independent frequency weighted detectors, for simultaneous RMS/Peak measurements or as two RMS detectors in parallel. All the time weighted parameters, using Fast, Slow and Impulse time constants, can be computed in parallel and stored in the large internal memory. Effects of sound incidence [frontal or random] can be corrected using a built-in filter, as can the effects of the windscreen, thus giving you Class 1 precision in all situations. |
BZ 7126 Basic - included This software makes the Mediator a modern precision integrating sound level meter with simultaneous RMS and Peak measurements ideal for noise measurements at the workplace and for level checks in any application BZ 7125 Enhanced - included Enhanced Sound Level Meter Software BZ 7125 adds statistics, back erase and periodic reports, plus the choice between independent frequency weighted RMS or Peak measurements. This is especially valuable for assessments of environmental noise BZ 7124 Logging - included Logging Sound Level Meter Software BZ 7124 allows free selection of up to 12 parameters to log intervals from 1 second to 1 hour. Alternatively you can log the Leq plus two external values at 100 ms intervals. This allows time histories for use in both environmental noise applications as well as workplace noise BZ 7123 Frequency Analysis - included Frequency Analysis Software BZ 7123 provides automatic scans of the 1/1-octave and 1/3-octave filter bands. Scan times may be selected for optimum accuracy, based on the actual filter bandwidths as well as the option of averaging up to 99 spectra All four 2238 Mediator software packages are installed in the meters hired from Gracey & Associates. Choose the one to suit your current application and start measuring. If your application changes, just switch to a different software package - there is no need to load it into the instrument since it is already in the resident memory To check the 2238 does what you want - see the Summary Table or the Manufacturer's Specifications Delivered with a 4188 microphone and windshield in a carrying case, together with calibration certificates for the meter, microphone and preamplifier.
