Standard Number BS 4198:1967 Title Method for calculating loudness Abstract Procedures for calculating the loudness experienced by a typical listener. Method A is designed specifically for the types of broad band spectrum most commonly encountered, whilst method B may be used with all types of spectrum. The procedures are designed for noises that are steady rather than intermittent.
